GUARDIANSHIP

Our specialist private client Advocates appreciate the emotional strain dealing with issues of capacity of a loved one can bring. We strive to provide a clear path forward to ensure the rights of the Patient are prioritised.

We are regularly instructed to make applications for Guardianships, which appoint a Guardian, or joint Guardians to make decisions for the Patient and act in their best interests above all else. The Guardian is supported by a Family Council of three close relatives to assist the Guardian in their duties towards the Patient.

We also advise on other matters relating to capacity including the creation and registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney both in relation to financial and property matters and also health matters.
